For some time there has been talk about the termination of an era at the end of 2012. But, what exactly did the mayas say? How can we know what a certain date means precisely? According to the mayas, on December 21st, 2012, a god will descend from heaven and a cycle of creation will be completed, bringing a complete regeneration of the cosmos and the beginning of a new era. Archaeologists are unanimous: the mayas did not predict the end of the world. Our discontent with society, the desire for change, and the need to overcome so many differences have motivated our hope of being reborn in a New Era.
